SpamAssassin helps filter spam emails so your inbox stays clean. Here’s how to set it up on your WhoGoHost account:

Step 1: Enable SpamAssassin

  1. Log in to your cPanel.

  2. Scroll to the Mail section and click SpamAssassin™.

  3. Click Enable SpamAssassin to turn it on.

  4. Set your Required Score (how strict you want it to be):

  • 0 – Everything is marked as spam

  • 5 – Default, moderate filtering

  • 10 – Almost nothing is marked as spam

Once enabled, SpamAssassin applies to all emails on your account.

Step 2: Optional – Move Spam Emails Automatically

Since SpamAssassin no longer rewrites email subjects, you can set up email filtering to organize spam:

  1. Log in to webmail and create a folder called Spam.

  2. Go back to cPanel → User Level Filtering.

  3. Next to your email, click Manage Filters.

  4. Click Create a New Filter.

  5. Name your filter, e.g., SpamAssassin Rule.

  6. Set the conditions:

  • From: Spam Status

  • Condition: begins with

  • Value: Yes

Set the action: Deliver to folder → Spam.

Click Activate.

Now, SpamAssassin will automatically flag spam and move it to your Spam folder.
